Dr. Ratan Jha is a reputed Nephrologist with 30 years of experience.
He holds expertise in managing Acid-Base and Electrolyte Disorders, Acute Renal Failure, Diabetes-Related Renal Failure, Diabetic Kidney Disease, and providing Dialysis/Hemodialysis.
He has received several prestigious awards, including the Viswanathan Memorial Prize and Gold Medal from the Tuberculosis Association of India, the B.K. Sikand Memorial Gold Medal and first prize in the FRAGMIN Quiz Contest at the Indian Society of Nephrology Annual Conference.
He completed his MBBS at Medical College Calcutta in 1983, followed by a Diploma in T.B. and Chest Disease from Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute Delhi in 1987.
Later, he earned his Doctor of Medicine (General Medicine) from Patna Medical College in 1989 and his DM (Nephrology) from Sanjay Gandhi PGIMS Institute in 1993.
Additionally, he obtained a DNB (Nephrology) from the National Board of Examinations in 1993.
He also won the best paper prize at API 98, first prize in the Carnitor Quiz Contest at ISN 2001, and the best paper presentation award at APICON 2002. In 2011, he was awarded the Fellowship of the Indian Society of Nephrology.
Dr. Ratan is a respected member of the Indian Society of Nephrology, the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation, the Association of Physicians of India, and the Indian Medical Association.
